Content Management Systems
A content management system (CMS) is an application that allows you to
add or modify pages on your website by yourself.
If you can create documents in Microsoft Word then the chances are you will be able to
use our content management system.
If you're not sure whether you need a CMS for your website then here's a tip on how to work out if it would
be useful for you. Work out how often you're going to want to change pages on or add pages to your website.
If the answer is daily, weekly or monthly then you probably need one. If it's any longer then the cost effectiveness
becomes less and you'd probably be better off getting us to make the changes for you.
Our iEasyUpdate content management system is written in-house and has evolved
over a number of years. Usability has been our main focus. There's no point in having a CMS
if it's too complicated for non-web-developers to use. Our content management system takes this
into consideration and gives you a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) interface in the
same style as Microsoft Word. We figured that a lot of people know how to use Word so they should
pick up our CMS pretty sharpish.
Our CMS also focuses heavily on search engine optimisation (SEO).
Pages are automatically optimised for their keywords. Page names are SEO friendly. And you can
modify meta tags to your heart's content.
We also built our CMS in modules. So if you don't need a particular module you don't have to pay for it.
This saves you money and also keeps your content management system options more user friendly.
Of course, if you're part of a business niche that we haven't yet designed a module for then that's no problem.
We specialise in custom website development so it won't be a problem for us to develop
some new software for you.
